Hmm...looks like loudtwitter is down, and may not be coming back. If it doesn't, updates on here may get very irregular again. Really, you should just follow me on twitter anyway, since that's pretty much all that gets posted here anymore. The only reason I still hang on to my LJ account anyway is to keep up with the handful of people I have on my friends list that still update.

  • 10:57 I find it ironic that the best native (i.e. not AIR) Windows twitter clients are ports of Linux clients. Using Choqok lately at work. #
  • 11:02 It's all about the last panel (came up on my desk calendar): bit.ly/EiQxK #
  • 11:05 @KathleenHathawa Yeah, I tend to geek out a bit on Twitter. #
  • 13:10 @buzz No trial-ware was my biggest complaint as a user, and since I've had apps in the store, lack of trial-ware sucks even more. #
  • 13:14 @nevali Heh, Parrot. We're still stuck using Perl 5.6.1 at work because is too afraid to break things by upgrading. #
  • 13:23 I really should have started biking my fat ass into work today, but weathermen who can't do their job make that decision very difficult. #fb #
  • 14:38 @dtm3dd GPL: Free as in herpes www.flickr.com/photos/moloko0velocet/2364716954/ #

  • 08:50 @fraserspeirs I like the idea of A2DP, but without AVRCP it seems kind of useless, and from what I've read, there's no AVRCP in 3.0. #
  • 13:20 @fraserspeirs Nope, you need to tell them that their cars should be free, then wipe your ass on the hood of a car on the way out. #
  • 13:21 @siegel I can deal with the temperatures we've had, but this constant threat of (or actual) rain needs to stop. #
  • 14:28 @SteveStreza a) that really is good. b) I can't believe I kept clicking all the way through to the end (I think) #
  • 14:52 Watching Engadget's videos of the Pre, and thought it looked pretty slick until I saw how they did copy and paste. Looks awkward as hell. #

  • 09:50 @jeanninelauren No Jeannine, then I'd have to unfollow you on twitter. It's bad enough that I can't get away from Connie's jokes on facebook #
  • 11:34 OK, I saw one financial report for May for the "World" region yesterday. Where the hell are the rest of them Apple? #
  • 13:34 @dblasphemy Wow! No wonder that was taking so long to render. Looks great though. #
  • 18:04 @flargh right about now I'm glad I don't have cable. #
  • 20:41 @mdhughes and it seems to vary person to person. I've seen two reports so far, one this morning & one just now. #

  • 09:35 @CocoaGeek It may not be right, but it sounds more like Apple's finally enforcing the "No private APIs" rule for UIImagePickerController #
  • 14:49 Heh, just broke my cardinal rule, got into politics with Dad (over email at least). In all fairness though, he started it. #
  • 16:35 @CocoaGeek I've got an app that started @0.99 & is now free that I want to put ads into but won't because I feel the same way. #
  • 16:37 Well, it's been raining almost every day for two weeks. Let's see if I can get the lawn mowed before it hits us this afternoon. #
  • 17:58 Mission accomplished. Now for some coding and a gin & tonic. #

  • 11:18 Wow, just realized that I've been with Linode for a little over a year, and the only reboots I've had have been when I've upraded Ubuntu. #
  • 11:50 @linode Wish I could be, but I don't have any vacation time, and my employer doesn't believe in professional development. #
  • 12:00 One of the little things I'm looking forward to when I get an iPhone? Not having to manually pause a podcast when the phone rings. #
  • 15:28 @cabel HA! Act now, and they'll include a free data center floor tile puller #
  • 19:32 Great, I bookmark a thread on the Apple Dev forums to look over tonight, and now the forums are down..."be back soon"? When is that?! #

  • 01:43 @CocoaGeek I thought iTunes would do that? I've seen it restore data from a 1st gen touch to a 2nd gen touch. #
  • 01:56 Took Logan to the drive-in tonight. Went pretty well. The Hangover was funny. Terminator wasn't bad, but I'm glad we saw it for cheap #fb #
  • 13:38 @CocoaGeek I think I heard it'll work i Pod Touch to iPhone. I'll tell you in about 2 weeks when my Sprint contract is up. #
  • 20:11 I love it when I code something the right way, forget I did it that way, then remember it again when it will save me a ton of work. #

  • 10:08 Have I mentioned lately just how much I hate having the newest office printer right next to my desk? People in and out constantly. #
  • 10:58 RE: Downgrading Wordpress: Looks like WP 2.8 was the cause of disk IO on my server running almost tripple it's usual average too. Nice. #
  • 11:16 @nevali Having been a UNIX admin for a few years, I would have to hartily agree. #bestpartofosx: UNIX w/a good GUI. #
  • 14:16 As borked as my Newsgator Online has been (NNW has been fine), their support was great once I got off my ass and contacted them. #
  • 15:31 Well, time to head out, and see just how bad the traffic up to Boston is for CocoaHeads tonight. Really, it's only rain people. #
  • 16:12 Traffic getting home sucked. Not looking like getting to Boston will be fun. #
  • 18:09 @gruber @chockenberry plus the cancellation fee goes down by $5 every month you're under contract if what I've read I correct. #

  • 09:21 Had to roll back my blog to Wordpress 2.7.1 because 2.8 is so damn slow, at least with the plugins I'm using. Seems to be fairly common... #
  • 14:13 @bdudney Got the email about the updated book seconds before you sent out the tweet. Downloading as I tweet this. #
  • 14:22 @dtm3dd I completely agree. Fever looks cool, but I don't need a server based app. I have enough crap on my servers as it is. #
  • 15:07 Did I mention that I only have 19 days until my Sprint contract is up? Hopefully the iPhone 3G S is (back?) in stock by then. #
  • 15:59 Saw a woman w/a manaquin in the passenger seat so she could use the HOV lane. I'd heard of it, but never thought I'd see it. #
  • 20:11 Quick break for dinner and an episode of Macross 7, then back to coding. #

  • 17:42 Just got back from Logan's first boat ride on the lake. He slept for most of it, but seemed happy when he was awake. #fb #

  • 09:54 Uhg. Need moar caffeine. Two three hour naps last night weren't enough. #
  • 11:28 figured out why cygwin's git (and thus git svn) wasn't tracking permissions, some assclown patched it to default to core.filemode=false #
  • 13:55 First a RoR conference, then #flashbelt. Apparently web devs are all frat boys now: bit.ly/NTIaq #
  • 22:29 So, 1/2 barrel of Sam Adams for the price of a 1/4. Gotta love it when the liquor store screws up the order in your favor. #fb #

  • 06:44 I love how IT at school have no idea how to do server upgrades. Lost everything on my network share & now need a password reset. #
  • 06:47 If the server guys @ work did this, there'd be a riot, & heads would roll. I know this because I used to be part of that team. #
  • 10:20 God I hate hour long meetings that do nothing more than waste everyone's time & justify a manager's job. Ugh. #fb #
  • 13:15 @Angry_Drunk Last time I was there, the Mexicans were the only sane ones in TX anyway, maybe they could straighten the place out? #
  • 20:49 Had a tough time getting Logan to sleep tonight, but I think he may finally be. Here's hoping. #fb #
  • 22:34 Got the first draft of the interface for my next iPhone app done. Now lets hook some code up to it and make it do something. #

  • 12:54 @nevali I know the feeling. I've got an App that I want to start on, but figure at this point I may as well wait until I get a look at 10.6. #
  • 13:06 @nevali True. If 10.6 was coming out later than Sept, I wouldn't wait, but I can work on iPhone stuff while I wait to see the new APIs. #
  • 22:13 @jsnell as much as I liked the new BSG, I woul have to agree about Dr. Who. #

  • 10:10 Logging in to irc.ars and getting a FF window setup for the keynote today & really wishing I was AT WWDC instead...Hopefully next year... #
  • 14:03 Looks like AT&T is really dropping the ball when it comes to the new iPhone features that require carrier support (tethering & MMS). #
  • 14:40 Way to many demos. Tell me when I can ditch Sprint & buy an iPhone, and when my deadline is for finishing my 3.0 app. #
  • 14:45 I like the new rating system for apps in iTunes Connect. Series of questions with None/Infrequent/Frequent answers to get you the rating. #
  • 14:51 damn, the 3.0 GM isn't up yet, was hoping to beat the rush... #
  • 14:56 compas will come in handy for an app I have in the pipeline #
  • 15:03 Well, looks like my Sprint contract end date will still decide when I get an iPhone (3GS on 6/19, free from Sprint on 7/6). #
  • 19:33 Not really sure why everyone's pissed about the iPhone 3GS pricing for those still in contract. Yeah it sucks, but it's standard subsidy BS. #
  • 19:35 Of course this is coming from someone stuck w/Sprint until 7/6 because he bought a Treo 755 when the iPhone was still $500. Yay, 3GS for me! #
